Daniel Defense AR-15 Review
I was looking at the same options about a month back. I went the DD route. Many seem to hold Daniel Defense, Colt, and BCM in the same regards. You can’t go wrong with any of them. Colt is known more for their carbine while DD is known more for the midlength and long rails in my opinion. You’re size shouldn’t matter. I’m 6’0 and the 16″ doesn’t feel like a toy to me at all. I’d actually probably try an SBR if my state would legalize it. Find a range or some buddies that have what your looking for and hold the versions you’re looking at and see what feels right. That should help you decide.

Daniel Defense AR-15 Review
I’ve got a pair of each (Daniel Defense and Colt), have actually owned and have shot both. Colts for many years and the Daniel Defence for about 5. I would say it depends on what You want to do with the gun? But in reality there is no bad choice between the two. Daniel Defense has the rail system and they seem to be quite accurate out of the box. Reliability shouldn’t be an issue with either choice as they compare on quality. Both very well made with high quality parts. Both stand behind their products. As far as your size… I’m 6′-3″ and an AR fits me fine.

Question: What is a good EOTech sight that I can put on my DPMS?

I only have a budget of $500 and want to get the best value. Can you recommend an EOTech?

We like the EOTech XPS2-0 HOLOgraphic Weapon Sight as you can pick one up for under $500 and it is a great value.

DPMS AP4 Reviews

dpms ar-15 reviewsThe DPMS AP4 carbine has been sold to thousands of individual law enforcement officers, agencies, civilian contractors, as well as the military, US service members and law enforcement. No wonder the AP4 is the most-trusted and best-selling rifle in DPMS history.

After the first 10 rounds down range she was hitting 1″ groups and 100 yards on an open sight. Easy to use and hard to abuse the DPMS Panther takes a real world beating and comes back to repeat the original groupings after a couple of hundred rounds being hauled around in the rain and brush hunting for things to shoot at in the woods. You can buy a more expensive AR-15 type rifle and get much less than this one. A very economical varmeint rifle for all of the varments that bother your herd. Right from the box this baby rocks.

Over a six-month period, the rifle was 100 percent reliable with all types of ammo including traditional military style full metal jacket and also with more exotic fare. There was one major problem that occurred when the adjustable trigger set screw worked loose and left the gun unable to fire. A touch of thread lock fixed the problem, but the issue exposed the potential risk that comes with using an adjustable trigger on a fighting rifle.
