Design and Build Quality:

The Bushnell AR 15 TRS-32 boasts a compact and robust design with a 32mm objective lens. Its rugged construction ensures durability and excellent shock resistance, making it suitable for various shooting conditions. On the other hand, the Burris 300208 AR-332 sports a similar compact design with a slightly larger 32mm objective lens. It also features a sturdy build, providing reliable performance in demanding environments.

Optics and Reticle:

Both optics offer illuminated reticles, allowing for improved target acquisition in low-light conditions. The Bushnell AR 15 TRS-32 features a crisp 5 MOA red dot reticle, which enables quick and precise aiming. In contrast, the Burris 300208 AR-332 provides a Ballistic/CQ illuminated reticle, offering a combination of a circular outer ring for close-quarters shooting and a central dot for precise aiming at longer distances.

Magnification and Field of View:

The Bushnell AR 15 TRS-32 offers a 1x magnification, providing unlimited eye relief and allowing for fast target acquisition. While lacking magnification, its wide field of view enhances situational awareness. On the other hand, the Burris 300208 AR-332 comes with 3x magnification, offering better target identification at medium-range distances. However, the higher magnification limits the field of view, potentially affecting peripheral awareness.

Performance and Durability:

In terms of performance, both optics deliver reliable results. The Bushnell AR 15 TRS-32 excels in close to medium-range shooting scenarios, offering quick target acquisition and precise aiming with its red dot reticle. The Burris 300208 AR-332, with its 3x magnification, provides enhanced accuracy at medium-range distances. Both optics are fog-proof and waterproof, ensuring usability in various weather conditions.

Price and Value:

When it comes to price, the Bushnell AR 15 TRS-32 generally falls in a more affordable range compared to the Burris 300208 AR-332. The Bushnell optic provides excellent value for its price, offering solid performance and durability. On the other hand, the Burris optic is slightly more expensive but justifies the cost with its added magnification and versatile reticle.

Bushnell AR TRS-32 Optic Review

This is a good scope for the money. I have not experienced any problems with this scope and I am still on the original battery (I just remember to turn it to 0 every time I’m done using it). I purchased this red dot at Amazon.com for $119 several months ago and I’ve been very happy with it after approximately 300 rounds down range.

The Bushnell AR Optics TRS-32 Red Dot Riflescope cowitnesses perfectly with my Magpul BUIS, and it has held zero since I sighted it in. The brightness settings give an excellent range, and it provides pretty decent brightness. Is this a super high end red dot? No, but it has been a great budget red dot for me and has done the job I’ve asked of it.

Burris 300208 AR-332 3×32 Prism Sight Review

I originally purchased an EOTech XPS2-2 for my Del-Ton M4. My intentions were to add the EOTech G23 3x magnifier to increase the range of effectiveness. I went to my local Sportsmans Warehouse, which had both the EOTech and Burris on display. While looking through both optics side by side, I noticed the Burris has a crisper sight picture, and the Burris had a larger eye relief (2.5″ vs the EOTechs 1.96″).
After reading the other reviews, I decided to sell my EOTech XPS, and replace it with the Burris AR-332. The EOTech XPS/G23 combo would have set me back close to $1000. The Burris has more to offer (red or green reticle, etched black reticle, and a focus) than the EOTech. I know EOTech has a superb reputation, but for a third the price, I’m happier with the Burris 300208 AR-332 3×32 Prism Sight.

As far as the quality of the glass, I’ll just have to see how it stands the test of time. My first choice in optics was a Trijicon ACOG, but for $1200+, it just wasn’t anywhere in my nearby future. Sighting in the Burris took me 10 rounds, and after removing it to test it’s “zero”, it did perfect. I would recommend this sight to anyone who can’t afford an ACOG setup.

CONCLUSION:

Both the Bushnell AR 15 TRS-32 and the Burris 300208 AR-332 are commendable optics that cater to different shooting preferences. The Bushnell model excels in close to medium-range shooting with its 1x magnification and precise red dot reticle, while the Burris model offers better target identification at medium-range distances with its 3x magnification and versatile Ballistic/CQ reticle. Ultimately, your choice should depend on your shooting requirements, budget, and personal preferences.
