When it comes to suspension trainers, the TRX and Jungle Gym XT are two popular options that offer versatile and efficient workouts. In this detailed comparison review, we’ll assess these systems in several key aspects to help you make an informed decision.

TRX:

Design and Build Quality:

TRX is a well-known suspension trainer with a durable, high-quality construction. It’s made from high-strength webbing and includes ergonomic handles and adjustable straps.
Versatility:

TRX provides a wide range of exercises, enabling you to target various muscle groups through bodyweight resistance. It’s suitable for strength training, flexibility, and cardiovascular workouts.
Portability:

TRX is highly portable and can be used indoors or outdoors, making it an excellent choice for individuals who travel frequently or prefer working out in different settings.
Adjustability:

The TRX suspension trainer offers adjustable straps, allowing users to modify the intensity of their workouts quickly. It’s suitable for individuals of different fitness levels.
Training Resources:

TRX offers a comprehensive library of online resources, including video workouts and guides, helping users get the most out of their suspension trainer.
Price:

TRX suspension trainers are generally more expensive than many other options on the market, reflecting their high-quality build and extensive training support.
Jungle Gym XT:

Design and Build Quality:

The Jungle Gym XT is another well-constructed suspension trainer. It features durable, industrial-strength straps, and ergonomic handles that provide a comfortable grip.
Versatility:

Jungle Gym XT offers a variety of exercises that can target different muscle groups. It is versatile for strength and core workouts, but its exercise selection is slightly more limited compared to TRX.
Portability:

Like TRX, Jungle Gym XT is portable and can be used indoors or outdoors. It is easy to install, making it convenient for quick workouts.
Adjustability:

Jungle Gym XT provides an adjustable split design for the handles, which can be useful for customizing the width of the handles to better fit your body size and exercise preferences.
Training Resources:

While the Jungle Gym XT has fewer online resources compared to TRX, it still provides basic workout guides and access to a variety of exercises for users to explore.
Price:

Jungle Gym XT is often priced lower than TRX, making it an attractive option for those looking for quality without breaking the bank.

TRX System Review
As a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, this piece of equipment is a go to piece for me and my clients. My clients are thrilled when I show them how they are improving in their strength and endurance. I love it for myself! It is a must buy!!!

As an avid gym-rat who gets a little twitchy when he misses a workout, I was looking for something I could use to get a good strength training workout while traveling on vacation or for work. The personal trainers at our gym introduced me to the TRX Suspension Trainer and I ordered one to give it a try.

In the few short weeks I’ve owned it, I have been able to take the TRX Home Training Bundle on a camping trip, on a business trip, and to work with me for a 2-day IT system crash event. While camping I was able to use trees and the rafters in a pavilion to support the TRX system, and found both made easy platforms for great workouts. At hotels and while trapped at work for two days, I was able to use the door mount to sneak in some workouts, and I found that platform to be stable as well.

Jungle Gym XT review
So, I’ve owned the TRX force kit for about five years, XFit Rings for about three years, and the Lifeline Jungle Gym XT for about a month now, and I have to say the Jungle Gym XT is the Best Over-all product, in almost all categories.

Here’s the preferential order I would put the three products: First place: Jungle Gym XT, Second Place: XFit Rings, and Third Place: TRX. And I’m rating them REGARDLESS OF PRICE!!!!

I purchased this suspension trainer in lieu of a TRX to save some money as I just opened my own personal training studio. I use TRX trainers frequently at another studio I train at but I have to say, the Lifeline system is BETTER and MORE USER FRIENDLY. I also love the stiffer loops by the handles for getting your feet in and put easily.

Conclusion:

Both TRX and Jungle Gym XT offer quality suspension trainers that can provide effective full-body workouts. The choice between the two will depend on your specific needs and budget:

If you prioritize extensive training resources and are willing to invest in a premium product, TRX is a top choice.

If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly option that still delivers quality and versatility, Jungle Gym XT is a solid alternative.

Ultimately, the right suspension trainer for you will depend on your fitness goals, budget, and personal preferences. Whichever option you choose, both TRX and Jungle Gym XT can help you achieve a challenging and effective workout using your body weight as resistance.
