Alexandrou, Alessandra Grace Alessandra Grace Alexandrou was born February 23, 1994 in Dallas, Texas, and passed away too suddenly on August 3, 2011. We will all miss her beautiful smile and sparkling eyes that always lit up a room and brought joy to everyone around her. She cared deeply for others and made them feel special with her big heart and uniquely understanding ways. Ally had her own way of doing things, and always stood up for what she believed in, even if it wasn’t always easy. We have lost a beautiful daughter, sister, friend and champion of those in need.

Ally attended Greenhill School through the 8th grade, and her freshman and sophomore years at Bishop Lynch Catholic High School. At both schools she made many lifelong friends. She excelled in a wide range of activities, including Mock Trial, horseback riding, and golf team manager. Ally loved life and lived every day with abounding energy and spirit. She loved meeting people and everyone seemed to know and love Ally. She touched the hearts of numerous friends, teachers and family. She knew no strangers. Ally had a special relationship with her boyfriend, Dan. Ally also had a passion for animals such as her sweet horse, Titan, her cats, and her pet ferret, Danlly. She loved working with children and spent her summers as a camp counselor at Merriwood Riding Camp and as a volunteer at Equest. She recently enjoyed a rewarding community service trip to Costa Rica.

Alessandra is survived by her loving parents, Teresa Cefalo Alexandrou and Drew Alexandrou, her best friend and sister, Christina, her grandparents, Artie and Alex Alexandrou, her aunts and uncles, Cassie & Dean Alexandrou, Adrienne & Bob Callaway, Paula & Ralph Cefalo, Denise & Joe Cefalo, and Lee Ferchaw & Giancarlo Cefalo, her great aunt Rosalia Policelli, and her first cousins, Michael, Joseph, Ariel, Elena, John, Mario and Jessica, her numerous other cousins in Washington, D.C. and her many friends. Visitation will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest from 6:00-8:00pm on Monday, August 8th, and the Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, August 9th, at 10:00 am at St Monica Catholic Church, 9933 Midway Road, Dallas, 75220. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.
