Hi-Temp Bumper Plates are made in Tuscumbia, Alabama and often seen distributed through Rogue Fitness.
These bumper plates are great and will last forever.
We have been pounding the bumpers in our gym with no problems.
Even the 10 lb plates are holding up to repeated drops.
These plates place on smooth to all barbells without any hassle. They are my go to bumper in the garage gym.
For other bumper plates look at the Wright rubber bumper plates as the new 15 pound bumper plates are better.
Wright Rubber is made in the USA “Support us in building jobs for Americans” and ships from Christian’s Fitness Factory in Pennsylvania.

A question we get about every week is “Coach, what is the best barbell for crossfit?”. Read on…
We would not use this as the beater bar of the gym. The Eleiko is made very whippy pretty good spin. The knurling is not too sharp but not too slick.
The Wright HD barbell is a good all around barbell and will serve your gym well.
RepFitness barbells are also very good. Here is a list of several barbells that are out there on the market.
This Bomba barbell is an American made 20kg olympic bar with a 28.5mm shaft that is perfect for functional fitness- the shaft is stiff enough for heavy deadlifts, squats, and presses, while thin and whippy enough for Olympic lifts.
The FringeSport Bomba barbell is making in roads at many gyms around the country.
It has a lower price point at $229 and you get a good bang for your buck. I had mine sitting outside for several months and it is still going strong.
If you are starting a garage gym on the cheap then go with wright rubber and a Wright HD bar or Wright HD bar or equivalent equivalent ($150).
Here are a few more barbells that get great reviews.
York Olympic North American Bar – The Cadillac of barbells, York’s Elite Competition Barbells are made from the highest grade high-tensile steel available, and are purpose-built to have tremendous strength and flexibility. York Barbells feature needle bearings for smooth spin. These barbells are calibrated to be accurate within +00.1% and -0.05% of true. Sleeves are machined to a precise 1.975 inches to accommodate any 2″ Olympic plate. These gorgeous York Barbells are finished in a case hardened satin chrome. This is the last barbell you will ever buy.
