Gym rings are always favorite to make as all you need is some PVC pipes and an oven. They may not look super pretty but they work. You can make a pair in about 30 minutes with a little trial and error. Be careful when they get hot and don’t try to bend them too quickly.
Question: What is a good pair of wood gym rings I can get for my home garage gym?
We like the CFF Pit Bull Wood Gym Rings.
These rings have a nice wood finish and will last you for years. We just picked up a set for our garage gym and they are doing great.

Gym mats may be something that you have to purchase as buying used is suspect (think of all the gallons of sweat leaked in). A good option are interlocking mats and you can put them where you want. A good deal is the 48 Square Feet block by ‘We Sell Mats’
Making DIY CrossFit equipment is a great way to save money or build equipment if your in a remote area like Alaska or Afghanistan.
Many of our military troops have made their own CrossFit workout equipment due to necessity as it is hard to ship nice equipment to the middle of the desert or icy frozen tundra.

Sometimes the bumper of a military truck can be a box jump.
Rocks and concrete blocks are often used for a box when nothing else is available.
We had a large sandstone boulder on the edge of our driveway that we have used for years as a box step up.

An old junkyard can pay huge dividends if you scout around and think creatively.
The axle of a car or old truck can become a barbell and an old rim and tire can become the weights.
You can pour concrete in the tire to add more weight.
