Nate Schrader played football, wrestled and ran track for a season in high school. Post high school he lifted a lot, the whole body part a day thing, and played sports and ran. Nate Schrader was in the US Army from 2005-2010 as a weapons sergeant and was introduced to Crossfit from some guys in his company early 2009.
Nate Schrader did not start training for crossfit until he returned from a deployment and his wife told him to sign up for the 2010 Carolina Sectionals. Nate Schrader placed 3rd there and it re-sparked a passion for competition and he has been on a mission to learn how to train for the best overall fitness and Crossfit.
Nate hit a 285-pound thruster at the Regional, tying Jason Khalipa and Aja Barto for the highest individual competitor’s lift.
Nate is the founder and owner of CrossFit RedPoint in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
