My inspiration comes from my members. I’m constantly motivated by how much they give of themselves on a daily basis. They go to the well often and they dig deep. How can you not be inspired by that?
Rob Orlando workout Training Regime
Typical Training Week:
Monday I do something hard. Tuesday I do something REALLY hard…oftentimes doubling or tripling up on WODS. Wednesday I do something hard and it oftentimes includes some running. Thursday I work out with my buddies at Hybrid and we crush something hard. Friday is a rest day…sometimes. Saturday is my fun day at Hybrid. I kill a workout with my four-year-old son, Logan. Stones, yoke, squats, kegs…anything goes. Sunday is a rest day.
My Monday workout was 175 stone to the shoulder x 8 reps, 16 burpees. 240 stone to the shoulder x 4 reps, 8 burpees. 265 stone almost to the shoulder x 2 reps, 4 burpees. Time was 4:10. Saturday’s workout was 21-15-9 Backsquat and Strict Pull-ups…time was 13:40.
Diet and Nutrition:
I eat clean and try to balance protein, fat and carbs. I make smart choices almost all of the time and I rarely cheat.
Cindy: 16 rounds with CTB pull-ups, Ring dips, and box jumps
Helen: 7:45 with 70-pound KB
Filthy Fifty: 19 minutes and change
Max Pull-ups (Butterfly): 50+ or 35 CTB

Power Clean: 300
Clean & Jerk: 325 with several attempts
22nd at CF Games in 2009.
Lots of strongman victories and several North American Strongman Records.
365 Axle Clean and Press @225.
240 Log Clean and Press for reps in 60 seconds…14 reps.
Axle Clean and Press for max reps @ 200 pounds in 60 seconds…19 reps.Rob Orlando was knocked out of the CrossFit Games 2011 competition for not completing the swim but we are sure that Rob will be back with a vengeance for 2012 as he is a true warrior. Never Surrender!

Question: What is one tip Rob Orlando has for getting strong? Rob told me to put a barbell in my garage with 50% of my dead lift. Every time I go by it – lift it once. Next week increase to 55 or 60%. Overtime build that up. You will get much stronger picking up heavy things over time.
