Can You do Bodyweight Training Every Day?

Team SGPT:

Here is a great question that we received from one of our SGPT athletes.

Do you think it’s a bad idea to do the same body weight exercises (push-ups, pull-ups, and dips) every day?

Is that overtraining? Do you need to rest?

So the answer is yes but you there are a few factors to take into account.

Also be aware of your body and what you need to do for recovery. Whether it is foam rolling or an ice bath or 9 hours sleep – pay attention and work hard on your recovery.

Post up any more questions you have on bodyweight training in the comments below and we will work on answering every question. Thanks for your patience.
