Oakley SI Assault vs Nike SFB Boot Comparison

The Oakley SI Assault Boot and Nike SFB (Special Field Boot) represent two distinct yet popular choices in the realm of tactical footwear. The Oakley SI Assault Boot is recognized for its robust construction, combining durability with comfort. Engineered with high-quality materials and reinforced stitching, it offers exceptional resilience in rugged terrains. Its design emphasizes stability and support, featuring a shock-absorbing midsole and a sturdy outsole. Additionally, the Oakley boot provides moisture-wicking properties, ensuring breathability and a dry interior during extended wear, making it an ideal choice for tactical operations or outdoor activities requiring endurance and reliability.

Conversely, the Nike SFB Boot is acclaimed for its lightweight design and agility. Crafted with lightweight yet durable materials, the SFB Boot prioritizes swift movements and flexibility, catering to wearers seeking enhanced mobility. While maintaining durability, the Nike boot incorporates a cushioned midsole for comfort during prolonged wear. However, its emphasis on agility may sacrifice some of the sturdiness found in the Oakley SI Assault Boot. The Nike SFB Boot is well-suited for individuals requiring swift maneuverability in various environments, particularly those where speed and agility are crucial factors. Ultimately, the choice between these boots depends on the wearer’s specific needs, with the Oakley boot offering robustness and support, while the Nike boot focuses on agility and lightweight performance.

Oakley SI Assault Boot Review

I really liked these boots the minute I put them on. They fit my foot great and have so far lasted well working in them every day.  These shoes are light weight, breathe well and lasted me 2 deployments overseas in the sand box. I did have to resole the boots so i could have some traction going up mountains, but i will keep these boots forever.

Nike Special Field Boot SFB Review

I think this is one of my favorite boots ever, and I own quite a few different brands like Danner and Oakley. One exception is not the latest generation so sole is not stitched, Not waterproof as well but dry fast, The Nike SFB is a modern, athletic boot designed for first responders.

I was talking to my Army buddy who had picked up a pair of these boots over 3 months ago. “I don’t wont to go back to my old style of boot, unless I have to wear a steel toe, because these feel like sneakers.

These boots are awesome for foot patrol. I often do 8hrs straight with no issue. Way more comfortable than my old pair of bates boots.

I like that these boots are durable but also have a nice fit. I think they look great look but they are lightweight. The only problems are no steel toe, no easy out (zipper type thing up the side), and that on wet tile they can be very slippery. I will be buying these Nikes from now on.
