We listen to their problems and try to help them with solutions.
One of the biggest problems that many Special Forces athletes face is…
Performing pull ups (extra tips here).
You may be a Spartan Race or SEALFIT 20X athlete.
Or trying out for the local SWAT Team or Fire department.
Working on a contract for BUDS or Ranger School.
Pull ups – by and large – is the #1 thing that most athletes need help with.
If you can do pull ups – your going to run a Spartan Race much faster as you get up and over obstacles quicker.
One of the easiest ways to get started or add to your tool box is —
to do negatives and Australian pull ups.
Negatives are simple. Jump up and put your chin over the bar.
Slowly lower down. Count slow 1 – 2 – 3.
Next time try to do a four count.
If you cannot lower yourself down then just hold yourself above the bar.
Or put one foot on a box and allow that to slowly lower you down.
Australian pull ups are simple also. Find a bar at waist high.
Put your feet in front of you and pull up. Keep your core tight.
Do a 5 pull ups and rest 30 seconds. Then do 6 and rest.
Go up till almost failure and work your way down.
I guarantee if you do those 2 exercises – 3 times a week
You will be on your way to getting your first pull up — or adding an extra rep to your personal record.
