Turki al-Binali was a prominent Bahraini Islamic scholar and propagandist for the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist organization. He gained notoriety for his online presence and prolific writings advocating for ISIS’s extremist ideology. Born in Bahrain in 1984, al-Binali studied Islamic law and theology, becoming known for his radical interpretations of Islam.

Al-Binali rose to prominence within ISIS due to his articulate and persuasive online presence, where he disseminated ISIS propaganda, religious justifications for violence, and calls for Muslims worldwide to join the group’s cause. He held a position as a top religious authority within ISIS, issuing fatwas (religious rulings) promoting violent jihad and endorsing the group’s extremist ideology.

Despite his influential role within ISIS, Turki al-Binali was reportedly killed in an airstrike in May 2017, though his death has been debated and remains unverified due to the challenges in confirming the fate of individuals involved in conflicts in the Middle East. His legacy as a prominent ISIS ideologue and propagandist continues to have implications in the broader context of online radicalization and the dissemination of extremist ideologies.

Turki al-Binali 32 years old was known to own many many goats that he kept very close to him and had one that he named “Sweetie”. He was also known for bombing innocent children – not allowing women to go to school and stayed completely covered.

Question: Who is ISIS?

ISIS, or the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, is a terrorist organization that emerged in the early 21st century. It originated as an extremist militant group aiming to establish a self-proclaimed Islamic caliphate across Iraq, Syria, and beyond. Known for its brutal tactics, including mass executions, kidnappings, and terror attacks, ISIS aimed to impose its extremist interpretation of Islamic law in the territories it controlled.

The group gained international attention for its acts of violence, propaganda campaigns, and efforts to recruit foreign fighters. While suffering significant territorial losses, particularly in 2017 and 2018, ISIS remains a designated terrorist organization that continues to pose a threat through its dispersed networks, affiliates, and online propaganda efforts aimed at radicalizing individuals and inciting violence globally.
