The Danner Tachyon and Belleville One Xero C320 boots are both lightweight, tactical boots designed for military and law enforcement use. However, there are some key differences between the two.

DIFFERENCES

The Danner Tachyon boot is made from synthetic materials, making it a lighter and more breathable option. It features a rubber sole and a comfortable EVA midsole for added cushioning. The Tachyon also has a speed lace system for quick and easy on and off, as well as a reinforced toe cap for added durability.

On the other hand, the Belleville One Xero C320 is made from a combination of leather and synthetic materials, making it slightly heavier than the Tachyon. It features a Vibram sole for added traction and a cushioned midsole for comfort. The C320 also has a traditional lace-up system and a lightweight, minimalist design.

In terms of durability, both boots are designed to withstand the rigors of tactical use. The Danner Tachyon has a slightly more robust construction, thanks in part to its reinforced toe cap. However, the Belleville One Xero C320 has a reputation for being extremely durable despite its minimalist design.

When it comes to price, the Danner Tachyon is generally the more affordable option, while the Belleville One Xero C320 tends to be slightly more expensive.

Danner Tachyon 8-Inch Work Boot Review
These are one of the best boots I have worn in the past years.

The Danner Tachyon 8″ Tactical Boot

They were super dirty after a week in the field so I just sprayed them down with the water hose and all good to go.

I would compare them to my Nike SFB or Rocky C4t’s in terms of lightweight but they give your feet more cushion in rocky terrain. I will begin by saying I really like these boots.

The only downside is that you need to get a tube of silicone and put some of it on the seams around the toe as a preventative method to keep the toe from de-laminating.  I did this to my boots and they are good to go.

Belleville One Xero C320 Boot Review
At first I was not too sure about these boots until I broke them in a week or two later.

I loosened up the laces a little and now I love them as they are really comfortable.

The Belleville One Xero 320 boot have been put to the test on several ruck marches on base and a couple of air ops for training.

These fit me better than my Nike SFBs and have extra support. I have also tried the belleville mini and the khyber II mountain hybrid.

They also have a good price for what you get as I picked mine up on Amazon for about $150. I am going to pick up a second pair as a backup.

BOTTOM LINE

Ultimately, the choice between the Danner Tachyon and Belleville One Xero C320 will depend on personal preference and the specific needs of the user. The Tachyon may be a better choice for those who prioritize breathability and ease of use, while the C320 may be a better choice for those who prioritize durability and traction.
