When your stalk takes you to rocky high elevations, Danner’s Full Curl hunting boot carries you with confidence. Gore-Tex delivers the moisture protection and breathability you need for peak performance while the Dynamic Response System delivers superb stability and the Pebax framework adds springboard return for a more smooth, less clunky stride. This means agility. 400g Thinsulate insulation helps take the bite out of a frosty hunt.
Danner Men’s Full Curl 400G Hunting Boot Review
These are nice boots for the money and held up very well on several long forays through the mountains of Kodiak Island hunting mountain goats. I put approximately 24 miles on this pair over the course of several long pack in hunts. They provided good ankle support and stability, and although the foot bed is a little stiff (as required), they were very comfortable. I wore them on several 4 to 5 mile hikes to break them in a little before hunting and despite a relatively short break in period, I had no issues with blistering or serious discomfort on my hunts.

They are warm and might be a little too warm in temps over 50 F. The only reason I did not give them a 5 star rating is because I would like to see a more radical tread in the toe area for better gripping inclines and wet grass. Still they worked quite well and held up under the rigors of goat hunting in a harsh wet environment. I would not necessarily recommend them for super long distance mountain treks as I think if you are planning that type of activity you should probably go with a high end mountaineering boot.

Danner Crag Rat GTX Hiking Boot Review
The most comfortable hiking boots I’ve ever and I’ve owned many. Used these in Alaska and they worked perfect and held up to a lot of abuse.
