More than a decade ago, SEALgrinderPT sat down with Dale Comstock for what became one of the most popular interviews in SGPT history. That original 2014 interview gave readers a rare look inside the mindset, training, and operational world of one of America’s elite special operations warriors.
Now in 2026, Dale returns to SEALgrinderPT for another hard-hitting conversation about combat, leadership, mental toughness, aging as a warrior, and what it takes to stay dangerous in today’s world.
Dale is first and formost a Father and Grandfather. He served as an US Army Airborne Infantryman, Green Beret, LRRP scout, and Delta Force operator, to his time working as a paramilitary contractor around the globe, Dale has lived a life few men can even imagine.

Over the years, Dale has continued to push forward through business, training, media appearances, writing, and mentoring the next generation of warriors. His story continues to resonate with military athletes, tactical professionals, and everyday warriors looking to level up their mindset and performance.
In this updated SGPT Zoom call interview (5-17-26), we reconnect with Dale to talk about lessons learned since our first interview, how warfare and training have evolved, and why discipline, resilience, and purpose still separate elite performers from the pack.
