Vasque Mantra 2.0 GTX boot review by Angie:
I purchased these for work shoes. They have all the features of a hiking boot in a low top package. I have worn Vasque boots since 1999 hiking and backpacking. I like the brand and their boots always fit me well. I am outside much of the workday walking around commercial buildings, so I trek across pavement, asphalt, wet grass, mulch and rocks every day. The Vasque Mantra 2.0 GTX Hiking Shoe
has held up to the abuse. The vibram soles & gore-tex are nice perks to a well made shoe.

Vasque Mantra 2.0 GTX boot review by JT:
I run both Vasque Rift and Vasque Mantra 2.0 GTX shoes for general trail hiking. Both are low-tops and both are “Vasque” so I am using the comparison as a reference. The Mantra has a lot more support than the Rift and a lot more traction. The Rift is better for “detail” fine footwork hiking when you need a glove-like fit. The Vasque Mantra 2.0 GTX Hiking Shoe
is more like a half-boot.
Lets run down the basics:
Pros-
** GTX Goretex model keeps my feet dry without getting warm.
** For a low-top, they provide a nice stable platform.
** Enough cushy for all-day hikes but not so much that they feel like boots.
** Excellent traction in all conditions thus far.
** Wider toe-box allows more sock choices.
** Wear extremely well minus the toe area. Definitely a longer-term shoe.
