20x conroeLast week we were on the road and were lucky enough to be a part of two 20X Challenge events in Mobile and Houston.

29 athletes stepped across the line into the unknown to heed the call for warrior training.

Our job as coaches was to push them to the outer edge of their limits, show them they are capable of much more and keep them in the fight.

Only 28 survived to the end.

We all have self doubt. We could all be a little more prepared. But in the end you have to dig down deep and keep yourself in the game. DFQ. Dont Freekin’ Quit.

As Coach Lance says – Part of success is showing up on time in the right uniform and be ready to work hard. Some athletes showed up with brand new boots (think blisters) and one without a proper ruck sack.

Take the extra time to prepare and be ready for the challenge. We all face issues. We all have to work extra hours that cut into our training time. Don’t use that as an excuse but rather as a mechanism to make you stronger.

SGPT Homework: Find your next challenge. Read everything you can about that event. Make sure you are training right and find a mentor to help you. Make sure you have the right gear (broken in well draining boots and great socks and Bodyglide Anti-Chafe Balm) and are at the event on time and ready to roll.
