THE MISSION:
You are tasked with climbing a 14 thousand foot mountain peak in Colorado (USA). You will be required to climb as a team and help each other reach the top and back to the trailhead safely.
WHO:
Select SGPT athletes have been training all year to be able to do anything at anytime. Must finish the physical and mental test within the SGPT Endurance to Find Your Why 62 Day Course
WHEN:
Friday August 9 – 16, 2024
HOW:
The select task force will be training for 8 weeks to get ready for this mission. Training consists of SGPT 8 weeks The Endurance to Find Your Why

Now is the time to unleash your capabilities and work together as a team to achieve great things.
DETAILS:
Fly into Denver and transit to Leadville to check gear and acclimatize. The goal is to climb progressively higher peaks each day.
Finishing atop a 14 thousand foot mountain peak in Colorado. An itinerary is available to all task force members.
ITINERARY
Aug 9: Arrive Denver transit to Base camp in Leadville
Aug 10: Shake out Leadville (10k) get acclimatized
Aug 11: Mount Sherman 14,034 ft via Sherman mine trail 5 miles/3500 ft
Aug 12: Rest day
Aug 13: Mount Massive 14,421 ft via southwest slope 7.5 miles/3950 ft
Aug 14: Rest day
Aug 15: Mount Elbert 14,438 ft via northeast ridge 9.8 miles/4500 ft.
Aug 16: Local hot springs rest and recovery
Aug 17 Mission accomplished fly home
