SGPT Colorado Peak Week 2025

THE MISSION:

You are tasked with climbing a 14 thousand foot mountain peak in Colorado (USA). You will be required to climb as a team and help each other reach the top and back to the trailhead safely.

WHO:

Select SGPT athletes have been training all year to be able to do anything at anytime.  Must finish the SGPT Endurance to Find Your Why 62 Day Course

WHEN:

Friday August 8 – 17, 2025

HOW:

The select task force will be training for 8 weeks to get ready for this mission. Training consists of SGPT 8 weeks The Endurance to Find Your Why

WHY:

We like to train hard to be ready for anything at anytime. We understand that personal breakthroughs happen while pushing our perceived outer limits.

Now is the time to unleash your capabilities and work together as a team to achieve great things.

DETAILS:

Fly into Denver and transit to Leadville to check gear and acclimatize. The goal is to climb progressively higher peaks each day.

Finishing atop a 14 thousand foot mountain peak in Colorado. An itinerary is available to all task force members.

ITINERARY

Aug 9: Arrive Denver transit to Base camp* near Aspen/ Leadville, Colorado.
Aug 10: Shake out Independence Pass (10k) hike get acclimatized
Aug 11: Maroon Peak 14,163 ft
Aug 12: Rest day
Aug 13: Pyramid Peak 14,029 ft
Aug 14: Rest day
Aug 15: Castle Peak 14,274 ft
Aug 16: Local hot springs rest and recovery
Aug 17 Mission accomplished fly home
*Base camp = camping in national forest with a tent/tarp
