What are the Best Value Bushmaster AR15 rifles?

We get this question once a month as first time shooters are looking for an entry level AR-15 to start with. Yes; the Bushmaster is a good starter weapon that you can get for about $750 or so.

There are many different Bushmaster AR-15 so if you wanted to get one that has the best “value” – some say that it may be the Carbon 15.

But that is open to debate and some shooters say you may spend more but the Patrolman’s Carbine Cerakote may be a better option as it is hard coated to last essentially through any zombie apocalypse.

I’ve shot a couple Bushmasters but have never personally owned one, and the two I’ve shot seemed like good rifles. I only own a Colt 6920 and have been extremely pleased with it. There are some technical stuff like properly staked gas key, twist rate, chrome lining, etc that matters to some people but not others. For the average gun owner most of the AR makers will work fine. For me though since I keep my AR for home defense and SHTF I want everything to be top quality.

Bushmaster review
If you are looking at this rifle on Walmart’s site, you may have already know that Bushmaster is once of the best M-16/M4 rifles on the market and have been for many years.
There will be alot of people that say this rifle was built for Walmart to “Wlamart Specs,” but I can assure you that is just a rumor started by people that don’t like Walmart because they cannot or will not offer you the same price.
I bought this rifle and an ammo can of 240 Federal 5.56mm rounds for under $1200. This site won’t give you a couple of details that I would like to share…

1- This rifle, like all Bushmasters, is designed to shoot 5.56 and .223 ammo and the rifle is stamped to reflect it.

2- This is the same Bushmaster Model XM15-E2S #a.k.a. Patrolman# that everyone else sells, but at $100-$300 less.

Bushmaster is made in America by Americans, so I do not have a problem with buying this rifle from Walmart for less. Make your decision because I already made mine.
