Question: I read you went through BUDS twice. What did you learn the first time and what made it easier the second time around?

Answer: I had to completely change up my training the second time I went through BUDS. The first time through I had trained all the wrong ways as I lifted weights and had not ran over 3 miles. I was good at doing the obstacle course but sucked at long runs. I changed all of my training after that.

Question: I notice in a lot of your training posts you have sprints and other HIIT workouts. How come if when you’re a SEAL or Ranger you’re mostly rucking all the time and going slow?

Answer: Helps with stamina and durability. Check out this article by SGPT Guest Coach Brandon Richey: Speed for Tactical Performance.
