Suunto Core Altimeter Watch Review

The Suunton core is an essential tool for mountaineers, backcountry skiers, and wilderness travelers. A fun tool for everyone else. The weather was clear for days as your expedition ascended 10,000 feet, but then the barometric pressure started to change and your Storm Alarm went off. Thanks to the Suunto Core Altimeter Watch, you set up your high-altitude camp ahead of the big storm and are in your sleeping bag sipping hot cocoa before it hits. Bravo.

This watch rocks, keeps track of my vert biking, hiking, and skiing. I love the sun up and sun down times because I am always trying to squeeze in a few more laps before the sun goes down. The memory for the Suunto Core Sport Watch is awesome for comparing laps. I haven’t had any problems with the battery thus far. All in all its been a great watch and looks sick too!

How do I start on this watch? I’ve had mine for probably 3 years now, and wear it all the time. It’s bomb-proof, although I do wish the glass was a bit more scratch-resistant. Maybe the new version is? I’ve done an expedition to the top of Aconcagua with this thing, and it’s altimeter was accurate down to a few feet. I love the large display on the Suunto Core Sport Watch, that makes it easy to see your stats when running. It’s super easy to use, and the buttons seem are still kickin’ strong. I have the brown-leather one, so it’s a classy looking piece, and I get mad compliments on it, like “hey, that’s a sweet watch!”. Word. In a nutshell- a bomber watch that just keeps ticking.
