I spend a fair amount of time on the road – either driving to events or going to do crazy endurance stuff in the woods.
I have always been a big fan of what used to be called “Books on Tape” or now known as “Audiobooks”.
Back in the day working in Atlanta the traffic was hell and I would spend at least 45 minutes one way getting to my job.
Thats 1.5 hours a day – or 7.5 hours a week or over 350 hours for the year.
I started listening to audiobooks in my spare time in the car and it really helped expand my learning.
Recently I got reconnected with this cool way to learn and jumped on board and got a couple for free right out of the gate.
I signed up for Audible Free Trial [Digital Membership] and got Fearless and Lone Survivor for free.
Since then I have downloaded a few and listen to them as I drive across town (45 minutes one way) to go mtn biking with the crew.
Check out this list of a few audiobooks
and encourage you to post up in comments what your favorites are so we can build a bigger list.
By the way – Brian D – you won last weeks SGPT challenge. Email us here and we will hook you up with a survival knife.
Last weeks winner was Michael Sullivan and we mailed out his knife last friday (you should get it soon).
Gotta run…
