Just got back from the Cross Florida Individual Time Trail off road bike race yesterday.
300 miles of unsupported racing for time with all of your gear on your back.
The temperature dropped into the 30’s every night (we think 29 on first night) with wind at 10 to 15 miles an hour.
It was freaking cold – but a perfect test for any warrior to step up and train hard.
As the temps dipped and the sun went down we rode on into the wind and the cold.
Every time we stopped at a late night convenience store to warm up with a coffee and ramen soup — we got asked the same question.
“Are yall ready to quit?”. “The guys before you called their families to pick them up”. “They quit”.
Hellz naw – we aint quitting.
It may be cold and it may be hard but we are moving forward towards the finish.
It may not be pretty and there will be times when we are on one knee struggling.
This is not a glamour contest – all that matters is you crawl across that finish line.
We want to be tested to see what we are made of.
We want to have outstanding memories for years to come of over coming obstacles.
Finishing the drill and doing what you said you were gonna do.
Have you ever wanted to quit but knew that you had to dig down and get R done?
Did you stumble but found a way to get back on your feet and push forward?
That is what I am talking about.
What are you trying to accomplish? What are you trying to finish?
