Before the 2015 CrossFit Games, Matt was not on a super strict diet and occassionally would eat a pint of ice cream or donuts for dessert. After being beaten by Ben Smith in 2015 he switched up his training and adhered to a strict diet. He dropped 10 pounds and his competition wins started to stack up.
Matt uses NSF Protein to help her recover from multiple workouts a day.

Matt comes from a Olympic weightlifting background before an injury in 2009 and his switch to CrossFit. His parents are Canadian Olympic figure skaters Don Fraser and Candace Jones
